The Women of Today's Manufacturing assists area
residents in advancing their careers in the manufacturing field through
scholarships and through the Manufacturing Camp for young people.
Currently we have three scholarship programs:
TECHWORKS Manufacturing Camps
WOTM Manufacturing Scholarship
Fund
Member Education Expense Reimbursement
TECHWORKS Manufacturing
Camps
WOTM
partners with TECHWORKS to offer a manufacturing camp for
young women and men entering 8th, 9th and 10th grades. Students learn
about how the manufacturing world contributes to their surroundings and
the opportunities that exist for careers.
The week long Camp, offered at a minimal charge to the students, provides attendees
an opportunity to learn about manufacturing through educational presentations,
plant visits and actual hands-on activities. Participants are taught how
to operate various machines and software programs and actually produce
a product by the end of the camp.
The Manufacturing Camp is highly supported through time, money and energy,
by many WOTM manufacturers, regional organizations and politicians.
Visit our TECHWORKS page
for more information
and a slidewhow from our previous camps.
