WOTM is a not-for-profit professional association for dedicated men and women working or interested in the manufacturing field or individuals that service the manufacturing industry. We are always looking for new members to help our organization grow, diversify, and thrive.

We focus on educating our members with opportunities to network with others in manufacturing through presentations, interactive dinner meetings, company tours and more. These networking events also serve as fundraisers for the manufacturing scholarships we award each year and investing back into our community. We have two part fundraising goal that consists of a remarkable fundraiser dinner and silent auction and a fun golf outing with games and prizes. All funds raised go back into our communities by awarding scholarships through the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois and sponsoring local FRC FIRST Robotics teams and other events where we can make an impact in manufacturing and invest into our future generation.

How we began:

WOTM was initiated in 2003 by three women with a passion for manufacturing. WOTM is proudly celebrating more than 10 years of education, advocacy, and innovation. Founding members, Teresa Beach-Shelow, Melba Bradbury, and Judy Pike, created Women of Today's Manufacturing with a mission: to empower local women working in manufacturing, and to build a scholarship fund for students choosing to pursue a career in the manufacturing industry. Throughout the years, WOTM has continued to grow and thrive, becoming one of the area's most successful networking groups. The organization has proudly donated thousands of dollars to community high school and college students with its membership enrollment increasing annually. Community members find value in the unique networking opportunities the organization offers, and value the relationships they have established.

What we do:

At WOTM, we provide unique networking opportunities, facilitate behind the scenes local plant and manufacturing tours, provide scholarships for students and other men and women in manufacturing, engage in personal and professional development and community outreach, and much more.

How to get involved:

There are numerous ways to get involved at WOTM, as we have various committees that help run the entire organization. From fundraising to membership to events to scholarships, there are so many things you can do to meet and work with a fun group of men and women and really make a difference! See our membership page for more information on how to join our team.
